Matti Schmid is a German professional who arrived on tour with one of the strongest amateur resumes in Europe, winning the European Amateur Championship in both 2018 and 2019 and spending stretches ranked among the top amateurs in the world. He turned professional in 2020 and moved through the Korn Ferry Tour to a PGA Tour card, and he has played in majors and represented Germany in team competition. Two Cobra OPTM drivers sit at the top of the bag, a 9 degree Max-K and a 10.5 degree X, both built with the same Fujikura Ventus Blue 6 X, which makes the swap a question of head and loft rather than shaft feel. The irons run Cobra 3DP MB from 4 through 9 on Project X LS 7.0, a full blade set with no combo break at the long end. Cobra is the only driver brand on record.
