Monzee is an imaginary animal, half monkey and half chimpanzee, chosen because a monkey moves through forest the way a golfer survives one. The Tokyo company was founded in 2014 and the designer, known simply as Yuki, grew up in Carlsbad, which is the closest thing golf has to a company town, and brings West Coast warmth to a range made entirely in Japan. His personal best is 62 and he is still trying to beat it. The output is small-batch and handmade: headcovers, caddie bags, pouches, gloves, caps and apparel built from vintage and high-quality materials by craftsmen the brand selects individually, in quantities small enough that resale listings carry real value. Monzee signed Yuta Ikeda in 2025, its first professional contract, with the JGTO veteran carrying its headcovers, bag, wear, gloves and caps for the season, and representative director Yuki Uesako framed it as the start of taking the brand global. Japan is DORMIED's second-largest tracked market and the one where craft accessory brands hold the most weight. Monzee is a good test of whether that weight travels.
