Key Takeaways

  • MANORS ranks 4th in the United Kingdom and 52nd in the United States on the same search demand, a 48 place gap that frames the whole collaboration.
  • The United Kingdom of Golf is the second Reebok x MANORS collection, narrated by Ryder Cup winning captain Sam Torrance.
  • The Club C Revenge Golf swaps last year's traditional rubber outsole for a textured golf outsole, moving the shoe from the clubhouse onto the course.
  • Early access opens at manorsgolf.com on 12 August 2026, with Reebok's global launch on 30 September.

There is a number in the DORMIED Index that explains this collaboration better than any press release could.

In our June 2026 snapshot, MANORS drew the same monthly search demand in the United Kingdom as it did in the United States. Not similar. The same. In Britain that makes it the fourth most searched golf brand in the market, ahead of Malbon, J.Lindeberg, Nike Golf and adidas Golf. In America it ranks fifty-second.

Forty-eight places apart on identical demand. That gap is the entire strategic problem facing a six-year-old London apparel brand that has said, repeatedly and on the record, that it has to break America.

Which makes the timing of The United Kingdom of Golf worth examining closely. MANORS and Reebok return today with their second collaboration, and rather than sand down the Britishness for an American audience, they have turned it up to the point of parody, hired a Scottish Ryder Cup captain to narrate it, and handed the distribution to a brand that can put the product in stores on four continents.

What is Reebok x MANORS II?

The United Kingdom of Golf is the second collaboration between Reebok and the London golf brand MANORS, pairing two new limited-edition colourways of the Reebok x MANORS Club C Revenge with a co-branded apparel range, launched under a campaign narrated by European Ryder Cup winning captain Sam Torrance.

The Mock Neck Polo takes its print from vintage UK football shirts of the 1990s.

The collection framing is deliberately unglamorous. MANORS describes British golf here as unapologetic, weird and proud, stripped of country club polish and handed back to the stubborn sods who actually play. The campaign, per the brand, salutes the hopeless devotees who keep the spirit of British golf alive and are daft enough to endure it at any cost.

Three pieces anchor the range:

Reebok x MANORS Club C Revenge Golf. The archive tennis silhouette, first released in 1985, carrying MANORS detailing throughout: a de-bossed Eighteenth emblem and a branded window box with the GB flag. The meaningful change from last year is underfoot, and we will come back to it.

Reebok x MANORS Mock Neck Polo. The print is lifted from vintage UK football shirts of the 1990s. Mesh panelling under the arms, and a high mock neck reviving a silhouette worn on the game's biggest stages.

Reebok x MANORS Harrington Jacket. Vintage texture with stretch and a water repellent finish, and a United Kingdom of Golf embroidery running across the centre back.

The Torrance casting is not a celebrity booking

Plenty of brands rent a famous golfer. This is a more specific choice than that.

In 1985 at The Belfry, Sam Torrance holed the putt that beat the United States for the first time in twenty-eight years, then stood on the eighteenth green with both arms in the air in what became one of the defining images in European golf. In 2002 he returned to the same course as captain and won again. If you were casting a single human being to embody the proposition that British golf is its own sovereign thing rather than a provincial branch of the American game, there is not a longer list than you would think, and Torrance is at the top of it.

Note also that this lands in a non-Ryder Cup year. There is no tournament to ride. The Torrance casting is not a hype-cycle play, it is a heritage argument, delivered in what the brand accurately calls his driest Scottish deadpan.

The film was made by Stink Studios and directed by Dan French, built largely on practical in-camera effects. Creative director Luke Davies frames the intent this way:

Atmospheric course scene from the Reebok x MANORS United Kingdom of Golf campaign.
Golf is often painted with glitz and glamour. But there's an underbelly to the game which requires grit and perseverance even to get on a course. We like to poke fun at golfers in our campaigns, because we know they love it and they're proud at heart.

The idea is five years old, and that is the point

Golf fans with long memories will recognise the shape of this.

In 2021, MANORS collaborated with adidas on a collection built around a conceit Davies devised: that golf, not football, was the national sport of England. It sold out. It remains one of the most-cited moments in the brand's rise, and it worked because it was a joke with a real argument inside it.

The collaboration returns to an idea MANORS first tried in 2021: that golf, not football, is the national game.

The United Kingdom of Golf is that idea five years on, with a bigger partner, a national scope rather than an English one, and a Ryder Cup captain reading the voiceover. The Mock Neck Polo taking its print from 90s UK football shirts is not incidental. It is the same thread, pulled deliberately.

MANORS has been open about the limits of where it started. Regan has said plainly that the company could not build a global golf brand selling knitted cardigans, and the pivot toward performance product followed. Watching the brand return to its sharpest early idea and execute it at a scale it could not reach the first time is the clearest sign yet that the two things are compatible.

What the Index actually says

Here is where MANORS sits in the June 2026 DORMIED Index, our latest confirmed snapshot. The Index tracks search demand for 215 golf brands across 10 markets and refreshes monthly.

Bar chart of MANORS rank by market in June 2026, showing the United Kingdom at fourth and the United States at fifty-second.
MANORS ranks fourth in Britain and fifty-second in America on identical demand.

Globally MANORS sits 36th. Three things stand out.

The home market is genuinely elite. Fourth in Britain puts MANORS behind only Titleist, TaylorMade and FootJoy, and ahead of every apparel competitor it has. For an independent, founder-controlled brand launched in 2019, sitting above Nike Golf and adidas Golf in any market is a real achievement rather than a rounding error.

The American gap is structural, not a demand problem. Americans search for MANORS in the same numbers Britons do. This is not a brand nobody has heard of. It is a brand competing in a far deeper field, where the demand that wins fourth place in Britain finishes fifty-second. Awareness exists. Share of attention does not.

The brand is off its peak. MANORS hit a best-ever global rank of 26 in February 2026 with a DI score of 13.5. In June it sat at 36, with demand down 32.9 percent month over month and sitting 32.9 percent below its 52-week high. The longer arc is still strongly up, from 55th in May 2025 to 36th now, with year-over-year demand up 22.7 percent. But the last quarter has cooled, and this collaboration arrives at a moment when the brand could use a catalyst.

Read the outsole, and read the calendar

Two details in this launch tell you more about the partnership's direction than the campaign film does.

The first is the shoe. Last year's Club C Revenge Vintage was described as a clubhouse shoe with a traditional rubber outsole, a lifestyle silhouette with golf styling applied. This year's Club C Revenge Golf carries a textured rubber golf outsole for traction through the swing. That is a small phrase doing significant work. Version one was a sneaker you could wear to the course. Version two is being positioned to play in. The collaboration is walking from the car park onto the first tee.

The tell is underfoot: this version carries a textured rubber golf outsole rather than last year's traditional rubber.

The second is the release schedule. Early access launches exclusively at manorsgolf.com on 12 August. Reebok launches it globally online and in-store on 30 September. That is a seven-week gap, and it is a textbook split of what each partner actually wants. MANORS takes the scarcity window, the direct-to-consumer margin and the first-party customer data. Reebok takes scale, retail floor space and the back half of the sell-through.

For a brand where the United States now accounts for a substantial share of direct sales and where the stated goal is American breakthrough, a partner with global in-store distribution is not a nice-to-have. It is the mechanism.

What to watch

The honest question is whether a campaign this proudly British moves the needle in the market MANORS most needs.

The campaign salutes what MANORS calls the stubborn sods who actually play.

The optimistic case is that it does precisely because it does not compromise. American golf consumers have shown a durable appetite for imported authenticity, and a category where most challenger brands are chasing the same muted palette rewards anyone willing to be strange on purpose. The bear case is that a joke about British golf's grim charm lands hardest with the people who already live it, which is to say the market where MANORS is already fourth.

We will know reasonably soon. The Index refreshes monthly, and with early access on 12 August and Reebok's global drop on 30 September, both the September and November snapshots should carry a readable signal. If the US rank moves meaningfully off 52, this collaboration will have done something the first one did not.

We will be watching that number.
