Tuckernuck is a Washington DC institution that arrived at golf sideways, and its scale is the thing to understand. Jocelyn Gailliot, Madeline Grayson and September Rinnier founded it in 2012 above a Georgetown garage as a curated e-commerce boutique, named for the island off Nantucket where they spent childhood summers, and built it into a nine-figure business with stores in Georgetown and on New York's Upper East Side and a Georgetown headquarters that expanded to 40,000 square feet in 2025. The Jackie, a tweed shift dress launched in July 2022, sold out in 48 hours and was written up by the Washington Post as the dress that swept Capitol Hill. Golf sits inside Tnuck Sport, the in-house activewear label, alongside tennis and pickleball. That matters for the Index read: Tuckernuck is not a golf brand competing with Renwick and Honors, it is a general lifestyle retailer with a golf assortment, and its golf-specific search will always be a thin slice of a much larger business. The customer overlap, though, is close to total.
