SwitchGrips exists because Eddie Rogacki wanted his putter grip to match his ostrich belt and his wife pointed out he would be stuck with it. The former mini-tour professional conceived the system in early 2013 and launched it at the 2015 PGA Merchandise Show, where it was named one of three Best New Products out of more than 200 entries. The mechanism is a permanent inner sleeve installed on the shaft with interchangeable outer sleeves that swap in minutes, so a golfer never cuts off another putter grip. Three lines run up the price ladder: Player, Leather, and Exotic in ostrich, alligator, stingray and snake, topping out around $200. The range later expanded into counterbalanced swing grips, and Ernie Els signed as global brand ambassador in 2019 after several years using the product. Made in the USA, sold direct and through green grass shops. The idea is sound and the patent is real. Whether golfers want to change putter grips often enough to justify a system for it is the question the brand has been answering for a decade.
