Quick Answer
Alex Smalley plays a PING G440 LST driver, PING i240 irons, PING S259 wedges, a PING PLD Ally Blue H Prototype putter, and the Titleist Pro V1x ball, as recorded in the August 2026 bag snapshot. The driver is built with a Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Blue 60 TX shaft.
Alex Smalley is an American professional out of Wake Forest, North Carolina, who played his college golf at Duke and reached No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking before turning professional in 2019. He earned his way onto the PGA Tour through the Korn Ferry Tour and has posted multiple runner-up results, including a playoff loss at the 2022 Barbasol Championship. Every club in the bag carries a PING stamp, from the G440 LST driver at 10.5 degrees down through the PLD Ally Blue H Prototype putter, with a Titleist Pro V1x the only outside piece of equipment in play. The iron setup is the detail worth noting: i240 in the 4 and 5 slots for the added forgiveness and launch, then Blueprint S from 6 through pitching wedge, all built on the same Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 130 X shaft so the transition stays seamless. Driver history on record shows PING and nothing else.

Bag History
1 snapshot tracked, 2026
The 2026-08-25 build is the only snapshot on record in the database, so there is no change history to trace yet. What it documents is a single-brand hard goods setup, PING head to putter, with a split iron set that pairs cast long irons to forged short irons under one shaft spec. Future snapshots will show whether that split holds or the Blueprint S range extends.
