What Happened With Callaway?

Future Champions Golf expanded its UAE partnership with the Infinity Junior Golf Tour, launching an FCG Middle East World Series Championship that awards spots in the 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship in Southern California. A Team UAE, picked off Infinity's Order of Merit, plays the FCG Global Golf Games July 26 to 29, 2027. Callaway's role is the naming right.

Equipment brands do not put their names on junior championships for the trophy photo. They do it because a 13-year-old who wins something wearing your logo is a customer for the next fifty years, and because no other line item in golf marketing buys that kind of duration at that kind of price.

Future Champions Golf has expanded its partnership with the Infinity Junior Golf Tour in the United Arab Emirates, creating a new FCG Middle East World Series Championship that will award qualifying spots into the 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship in Southern California. The same deal sends a Team UAE, selected off the Infinity Order of Merit, to the FCG Global Golf Games from July 26 to 29, 2027. FCG runs more than 200 tournaments a year. It now runs a feeder into California from the Arabian Peninsula.

Why Does Callaway Keep Its Name on the FCG World Championship?

Note who is not quoted in the announcement. Chris Smeal, FCG's founder and president, did the talking. Callaway's contribution to this particular expansion appears to be the word Callaway, sitting where it has sat for years, in the name of the event every one of these new qualifiers is now chasing. The Gulf pathway was built by someone else and the title sponsor inherits the reach.

That is the structural read worth taking away. Title sponsorship of a junior circuit is a fixed-cost asset that appreciates when the circuit grows internationally, and the sponsor does not have to fund the growth. It is the inverse of a tour staff deal, where the cost escalates annually and the asset can miss three cuts in a row and go quiet. Rolex and Ping figured this out on the AJGA side decades ago. The names on junior events outlast the names on hats.

What Does the UAE Junior Golf Market Give Callaway?

The UAE is not a volume market and never will be. It is something more useful: a high-spend, expat-heavy, club-concentrated market where a small number of families make disproportionately large equipment decisions, and where the DP World Tour has spent two decades establishing that the region takes professional golf seriously. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have the tournaments. What the region has lacked is a credible competitive ladder for juniors that leads somewhere recognizable in the United States.

That ladder is the actual product here. A junior in Dubai who previously had regional events and a vague sense that American college golf existed now has a qualifying event, a named world championship at the end of it, and a team competition in July 2027. Brands that show up at the bottom of a ladder get credited for the whole climb, which is the quiet mechanic behind Callaway's presence in this release despite no new Callaway commitment being described in it.

How Does the CAMPUS Recruiting Platform Change the Value?

The part most readers will skim is CAMPUS, FCG's college recruiting platform, which Infinity families will now be introduced to. Players build profiles with results, academics and video for college coaches. Strip the education framing and it is a structured database of internationally sourced junior golfers, their performance histories and their family contact points, growing in a region where nobody has assembled one.

Callaway's visibility has been climbing hard this month, with a DORMIED Index move of more than 120 percent putting it second among 215 brands, and almost none of that is attributable to a junior tour in the Emirates. But the compounding effects in this category are not monthly. They are generational, and they show up in WITB photos in 2038.

Watch whether Callaway converts the naming right into something operational: fitting presence at the Middle East championship, a junior product line pushed through Infinity's network, a staff pathway for the Team UAE roster. If the name stays a name, this is free reach and nothing more. If it does not, Callaway will have built a Gulf pipeline that Titleist and TaylorMade have to buy their way into later, at a considerably worse price.

What Else Do Golfers Ask About Callaway?

What does the new FCG Middle East World Series Championship award?

Qualifying spots into the 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship in Southern California. It becomes part of the FCG World Series, giving junior golfers in the Middle East a direct route to the event.

Is Callaway funding the UAE junior golf expansion?

Nothing in the announcement describes a new Callaway commitment. FCG founder Chris Smeal is the one quoted, and Callaway's presence is its existing title sponsorship of the World Championship the new qualifiers now feed.

When are the FCG Global Golf Games and who is joining?

July 26 to 29, 2027 in Southern California. The Infinity Junior Golf Tour will organize a Team UAE, selected through its Order of Merit, to join the existing lineup of national teams.

What is CAMPUS and why does it matter here?

CAMPUS is FCG's college recruiting platform, where juniors build profiles with results, academics and video for college coaches. Rolling it out across Infinity's network builds a structured database of internationally sourced junior golfers in a region where none existed.

Why would Callaway care about a market as small as the UAE?

It is a high-spend, expat-heavy, club-concentrated market with established DP World Tour credibility and, until now, no clear competitive ladder for juniors leading to American college golf. Brands present at the bottom of that ladder get credited for the whole climb.
