DORMIED is operated by Dormied Inc. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit dormied.com, how we use it, and what choices you have. We keep this straightforward because we are a small independent operation and we have no interest in making a simple thing complicated.

What We Collect

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site. This includes pages visited, time on site, general location by country or region, device type, and how you arrived at the site. This data is aggregated and anonymous. We use it to understand what content is useful and how the site is performing. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to make this work. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising Data

We display ads on dormied.com through Google AdSense. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to show you ads based on your browsing history and interests. This is managed entirely by Google. We do not have access to the personal data Google uses to target ads. You can review and adjust your Google ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising through the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org or the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.

Email Address

If you sign up for The Scorecard, our monthly newsletter, we collect your email address. We use this solely to send you the newsletter. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party. We use Beehiiv to manage our newsletter and your email address is stored on their platform. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send you. On unsubscribing your email will be removed from our active list promptly.

Cookies

We use the following types of cookies on dormied.com:

Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to track site usage as described above.

Advertising cookies set by Google AdSense to serve and personalize ads as described above.

Functional cookies set by our own site to remember preferences such as your selected market or chart view settings.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes only:

To understand how the site is being used and improve it over time. To serve advertising that helps keep the site free. To send The Scorecard newsletter to subscribers who have opted in. We do not use your data for any other purpose. We do not build individual profiles. We do not sell data. We do not share data with third parties except as described in this policy in relation to Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Beehiiv.

Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted. Email addresses are retained for as long as you remain subscribed to The Scorecard. On unsubscribing your address is removed from our active list. We do not retain any other personal data.

Your Rights

Depending on where you are located you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access data we hold about you, the right to request deletion of your data, the right to object to processing, and the right to withdraw consent.

If you would like to exercise any of these rights or have a question about how we handle your data email us at dormiedgolf@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom you have additional rights under GDPR and UK GDPR respectively. If you are located in California you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Children

DORMIED is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data please contact us at dormiedgolf@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do we will update the date at the top of this page. We will not notify you of minor changes but if we make significant changes to how we handle your data we will notify subscribers by email.
